Overview For the fit, brave and adventurous! This Bat Caves Day Tour from Lusaka, is a full-day private tour that takes us to Chiawa area, a 3-hour drive south of Lusaka. Prepare yourself for a day of adventure and discovery. Highlights On this day, we have some interesting drives. First, we travel 3 hours through the countryside and rolling hills south of Lusaka to our launch base. Once here, our tour begins and we hop on to a safari vehicle for another 1-hour drive to our activity location. The scenic drive takes us through rural communities, rustic villages, and a fascinating baobab forest. Once at our launch point, we head out on foot, walking through a village, a forest, a dry riverbed channel before finally taking a steep hike up a hill to the caves. After a short break, our bat caves tour begins! We explore 2 caverns. After the tour of the caves, we return to our safari vehicle for a packed lunch,. We then head back to base where we jump into our car for our return to Lusaka, arriving in the early evening. Itinerary 07.30 I collect you from your lodgings in Lusaka or another agreed location 10.30 We arrive at our launch point for activities, and after some refreshments, we travel by safari vehicle to our activity point. We have a hike to the caves, explore the caves, and have a packed lunch in the bush. 16.00 We return to our launch point, and after a short rest, depart for Lusaka. 19.00 We arrive back in Lusaka for drop-offs and the end of the tour.
