Service Description

The half-day tour takes us to discover stories behind the stories. What makes Lusaka? The people? The food? The buildings? The history? It's a combination of all, really. And more! But especially the people. What is a city without people? Who are they? What have they done? How did they do it? There are those that have done huge feats for the nation, forever remembered in museums and school books alike. There are those whose simple everyday chores are told through art pieces and other visual works. Some use art to preserve for posterity their own personal journey through life. Others use art to speak for the voiceless and fight for noble causes. With this tour, we will see the deeper side of Lusaka, from simple artworks to thought-provoking pieces that challenge our comfort zone. History, art and culture come together in one memorable experience. Highlights Our tour takes us to 3 art galleries, a craft centre (optional), the museum, and an artists' studio. We take time to look at their works and understand the story behind them. We also get to see some artworks being made and appreciate the efforts made to create them. We end the tour with some fantastic coffee and cake or light lunch at my favourite cafe.
