Experience the nature and wildlife of 2 nature reserves located on the southern and southeastern areas of Lusaka. We spend time interacting with the men and women responsible for conserving and protecting the wonderful animals, plants and the habitats they live in. Highlights Experience the great outdoors, with a morning walking safari OR game drive, a visit to the GRI/DNPW Lusaka Elephant Orphanage, ending the day at a reptile park. Although there will not be big game such as lions, previous sightings have included giraffes, sable, zebra, impala, bushbuck, wildebeest and many types of birds. Itinerary 08.00 I pick you up from your hotel or other agreed pick-up point 09.00 Upon arrival and entry formalities at our first nature reserve, our day begins! You can choose between a walking safari or a game drive. Either activity is about 1 hour long. With the expert resident guide leading the way though the bush, take in as much information as you can about the nature and wildlife of this area, at times observing wildlife from close range. 10.30 After a short rest we head to the elephant orphanage to learn about the lives of these magnificent animals and the efforts being made to conserve them 11.30 Lusaka Elephant Orphanage 13.00 We have lunch at the restaurant within the park before departing for the reptile park across town 14.30 We arrive at the reptile park and spend a couple of hours observing and learning about all manner of slithery beings. 16.30 Drop-offs and end of the tour.
