Overview Take break from your busy schedule with this Lusaka Urban Safari. Experience the nature and wildlife in and around Lusaka. We spend time interacting with the men and women responsible for conserving and protecting the wonderful animals, plants and the habitats they live in. Highlights Experience the great outdoors, with a visit to a reptile park, a visit to the GRI/DNPW Lusaka Elephant Orphanage, and an afternoon walking safari OR game drive safari. Although there will not be big game such as lions, previous sightings have included giraffes, sable, zebra, impala, bushbuck, wildebeest and many types of birds. Itinerary 08.00 I pick you up from your hotel or other agreed pick-up point 08.30 We arrive at the reptile park and spend a couple of hours observing and learning about crocodiles, snakes and other slithery beings. 10.30 We depart the reptile park for the GRI Lusaka Elephant Orphanage. 11.30 Our visit of the GRI Lusaka Elephant Orphanage begins. We learn about these magnificent animals, and the efforts being made to conserve them. 13.00 We have lunch at the restaurant within the park, before departing for our next stop. 14.30 We arrive at a private nature reserve on the south eastern end of Lusaka. You can choose between a walking safari or a game drive safari. Either activity is about 1 hour long. With the expert resident guide leading the way though the bush, take in as much information as you can about the nature and wildlife of this area, at times observing wildlife from close range. After the activities, time for some coffee and cake, as we end the day. 16.30 Drop-offs and end of the tour.
